Important
A notary must refuse when a signer appears confused, sedated or pressured. If that happens, the travel portion of the fee still applies. We can reschedule at no extra charge.

How identification works
Most facilities hold an inmate's ID in property. Before we book, we confirm with you and the facility how the signer will be identified: the ID released for the visit, or a credible witness who knows the signer and has their own ID.

On-site notarizations and I-9 verification for employers, title companies, attorneys and property managers.
Per employee, acting as the employer's authorized representative for Form I-9 Section 2. $20 for each additional employee at the same visit. This is not a notarization, so there is no stamp.
Book In-Person I-9Per employee, by live video for new hires anywhere in the U.S. Available when the employer is enrolled in E-Verify and uses DHS's alternative procedure for remote document examination. The employer keeps the document copies and remains responsible for the form.

Required to hold any mobile appointment and credited toward your final total.
Cancellations
Free cancel or reschedule with 4+ hours' notice. Inside 4 hours, or a no-show after a 15-minute grace period, the deposit is non-refundable.
Prepaid services
Hospital, jail, after-hours, rush and apostille orders (including expedited) are paid in full when booked. Facility visits are non-refundable once scheduled with the facility, with one free reschedule.
Online notarization
Your session link is sent once the invoice is paid in full.
Identification
Every signer needs a government photo ID, current or expired 3 years or less. Don't sign documents before the appointment.
Payment
Balance due at completion by card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Venmo, Zelle or cash. Business accounts may be invoiced net 15.
Incomplete notarizations
If a notarization can't be completed because of missing ID, an unwilling or unaware signer, or an incomplete document, the travel fee still applies.
Scope of service
A notary verifies identity and witnesses signatures. We can't give legal or immigration advice, choose a certificate for you, or prepare documents.
Frequently Asked Questions
What does a notary public do?
An Iowa notary is commissioned by the state to verify a signer's identity, confirm they are signing willingly, and record the act. This helps deter fraud. Notarization doesn't make a document's contents true or legal.
What ID is acceptable?
A government-issued photo ID with a signature, such as a driver's license, state ID, passport or military ID. Iowa accepts IDs that are current or expired no more than 3 years. Without an ID, a credible witness who knows the signer and has their own ID may be possible.
What is Remote Online Notarization?
You meet the notary over live audio-video, verify your identity online and sign electronically. The notary must be physically in Iowa; you can be anywhere.
Can you prepare my document or tell me which form to use?
No. A notary can't give legal advice, draft documents or select a notarial certificate for you. Ask the person or office that requested the document, or an attorney.
What if the signer can't sign because of a disability?
Iowa law allows a signer who is physically unable to sign to direct another person, other than the notary, to sign their name in the notary's presence. A mark may also be used. Tell us ahead of time so we bring the right certificate wording.
Does the document have to be signed in front of you?
For a jurat ("subscribed and sworn to before me"), yes, in person or by RON. For an acknowledgment, the signer may have signed earlier but must appear and acknowledge the signature. When in doubt, wait to sign.
Can a notary refuse service?
Yes, if identity can't be verified, the signer seems unwilling or unaware, or fraud is suspected. We never refuse service based on race, religion, national origin or any protected characteristic.
Do you offer loan signings?
Yes. Loan signings start at $125 per party (buyer or seller), in person or by RON, plus $1.25 per mile beyond 10 miles for in-person closings. Title companies and lenders can set up an account.

We collect only what we need to schedule and perform your notarization: your name, contact details, appointment location and document type. Iowa law requires a notary record of each notarial act, and remote sessions are recorded and kept for at least 10 years as Iowa Code §9B.14A requires.
